I asked the hotel clerk if she tried it and she didn’t even know it existed and said “I’ll let you try it”. I did and it was delicious, I tried the butter chicken “medium” and chicken tikka masala “hot” with naan bread. If you’re wondering just do it, it’s delicious!+0Posted on Yelp

Kings is the perfect Atchison gem. I graduated from Benedictine in May '25, and lived in Chicago forever before that. I've tried a lot of Indian food in my day. Now, before the first bite, I was skeptical. Atchison's "exotic" mainstays (La Maria's, Lopez) don't exactly taste like abuela's cooking. But MY OH MY does King's Indian Kitchen taste authentic! You wouldn't expect it at what we students refer to as the "janky gas station on 9th," but give it a shot and you won't be disappointed. The samosa's, palak paneer, and chicken tikka masala are our go-to's. Thank you, King's! Don't drop your crown anytime soon!Posted on Google

Scratchys J.16 March 2025Super sweet girl gladly took our order, even tho it was 15 mins to closing on a Saturday night. Were out of naan but she encouraged us to order "whole wheat roti with butter" instead, which was fresh & delicious. They also kindly made us 2 orders of "veggie pakoras" which were an off-menu appetizer (and close to the BEST thing we've ever eaten from takeout in Atchison.) Next time we'll ask for them again! In future we'll order "spicy" tikka & butter sauces as those came across as "mild" instead of "medium." No chai on their menu, so we made our own at home. Would love it if they'd add chai & pakoras to their menu, as well as Family Meal combo specials like Sahara in Tiffany Springs offers. So glad to welcome King's Indian to Atchison & hope they stick around a LONG time!!+1Posted on Yelp

Brand new Indian kitchen operating out of a gas station here in Atchison, KS. The biryani is okay, tikka masala is good, and the korma is great, while the saag paneer is bliss. Garlic naan is very tasty and you have to have a decent naan to go with these dishes. Only takeout, so ambiance is not part of the picture. Mango lassi as good as anywhere, and overall this is a great alternative to driving all the way to Kansas City for your curry fix.
